In 1979 a Japanese expedition made the first and only attempt on Link Sar Kaberi Glacier Kondus valley during the period 1974, when the Karakoram re-opened, and the mid 1980.
Kondus Valley is also anther unforgettable alpine paradise for rock climbing. it is remote wild and beautiful and there are several mountains still to have an ascent. This area first gained the attention of westerners after John Mock and Hugh Swift visited to Kondus and Saltoro valleys in 1982 and trekked up the Kaberi Glacier. The Valleys have some of the finest clean granite towers hold a life-time of objectives, more than 90 % rocks are unexplored. Our this four weeks climbing program will take you to a number of below 6500m and rock pinnacles waiting to scale and thrusting for names. There is some excellent granite above Lachit, Karmanding village and south of the K6, K7 massif Kaberi Glacier, This valley led to a large attractive, highlands bench of full alpine wild flowers and Rock towers for first ascent. The area is clustered in numerous peaks such as Saltoro Kangri I 7705m, Chogolisa 7668m, Sherpi Kangri 7380m, Mount Ghent 7,401M, Link Sar 7041m, K6 7281m, K-7 6934m, Dumsum peak 6666m and Khor Kangri 6268m, many other virgin rock spires. Hare are great opportunities for new exploration and route development. Special permit is required.

Kondus valley located the Ghanche province northern area Baltistan Pakistan. The valley followed two boundaries China north side and India east side. The valley current population is approximately 6500 peoples. There is also Lachit valley which is some parts with Siachen Glaicer.

Day 1: Arrival to Islamabad

Welcoming and receiving at Islamabad International airport and shifting to the hotel. Here meet with the group and during the day visit to the famous bazaars, Mosque and other places in Islamabad depending on time

Day 2: Islamabad to Skardu By flight or KK Highway

Given good weather we will fly to Skardu (perhaps the most spectacular commercial flight in the world, with magnificent views of Nanga Parbat the 9th highest mountain in the world. If the weather doesn’t allow the flight we take the Karakorum Highway on the old silk route. This is just spectacular. It’s a long drive but one of the great journey’s of the world between the deep gorges of the mighty Indus. Overnight hotel in Chilas, driving over Babsur Pass will minimize the distance and the night stay will be in Naran. (10-12 hour drive).

Day 3: Free day at Skardu

Go for the briefing at the Ministry of tourism A free day in Skardu, meanwhile we will complete the documentation. Sometime it may take two days, but no need to worry, we have contingency days for such delays.

Day 4: Jeep ride to Kondus Valley

Today we take a Jeep ride to Kondus Karamading.

Day 5-Day 21: Rock Climbing
Day 22: Drive to Skardu via Khaplu valley
Day 23: Fly to Islamabad
Day 24: Contingency day
Day 25: Homebound flight
